Ingredients
Purified water, squalane (olive oil derived), caprylic/capric triglyceride (coconut oil derived), peg-75 lanolin, behntrimonium methosulfate, hexadecanol, cetearyl alcohol, ceterareth-20, dimethicone, phenyl trimethicone, Mango seed butter, cocoa seed butter, hydrolyzed silk, serica, methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, fragrance, fd&c yellow no.5.
There are mixed opinions regarding whether this product actually works. In my case it definitely does. Do I have problems with hardness, breakage, dryness or greasiness? No, actually the opposite, my hair has been super soft since. The smell is so scummy that sometimes I wonder what it tastes like (he he) and it lasts a long time. I use this product for my twists, edges and ends so it does last me a long time. I have also experienced less breakage, so it must be helping!
I saw online that for some people the product was very heavy for them and it left residue. I haven’t had any of those problems. My hair has (so far) never felt weighed down or greasy. Probably the product when combined with certain shampoos, conditioners or just pure heavy handiness might cause this problem.
My routine when using this product consists of:
- Washing my hair with Organic Surge Citrus Mint Shampoo, followed by the same brand conditioner mixed with pure coconut oil
- Twisting my hair with the Elasta QP mango Butter, using small amounts, paying more attention to the ends
- I spray my hair when its dry with my water and glycerin mix and add small amounts of mango butter to the ends (I don’t do this often because my hair stays moisturised for quite a while
Because I use it on my wet/damp hair, my hair strands absorbs the oils very well and my hair stays soft in the mornings when I wake up. The shine doesn't last long unfortunately but I combat this with spraying my hair with my glycerin mix daily. I don’t think I will give up on this product just yet.

I just twisted my hair with Elasta QP Mango Butter this morning while it was damp. I love the results, and the tropical smell is wonderful. I love that it's water based, and there is no tacky stickiness. I'll be sure to try the Organic Surge Citrus Mint Shampoo Conditioner.
